Reply:Just leave it for the frost to do it's work. Your soil structure will be far better in early spring.

You can plant rhubarb in December and sow a few lettuce under cloches but realistically March is the month t all happens.Well here in the UK anyway

Reply:early winter is the best time to plant garlic..plant now for a larger crop next summer...this makes a huge difference to the size of the bulbs.

rhubarb can be planted now, but make sure that it is dormant.

Kale should do well, if you can find some small plants for transplanting.

try sowing some perpetual spinach, it never fails to amaze me how it can survive cold spells ,if it doesnt grow now,it xertinly will as soon as it is warm enough.

parsley likes to germinate in the wet, and can take a while to start growing(try a small area)

the main thing you want to do is ice it, when you are done with that, it would be smart to wrap it with a bandage. Whatever you do, dont pop it, because that leads to infections and so on. Neosporin is a good way to disinfect the wound.
Reply:You could try icing it, first. Then, in order to avoid irritation, I'd suggest you place a band-aid over it; changing the band-aid at least 3 times each day.
Reply:Do not bust it. The longer it stays the less likely you are to have an infection or scar. Cover with a bandage or Mole Skin which is available at any drug store.

im supposed tobe looking for jobs but i smoked weed a few days ago... do jobs like tanning, or jets pizza, and ice cream places do drug tests? and if so do you think if i drink cranberry juice and stuff like that i could be clear soon enough?

Many small/family owned businesses don't do drug tests due to the costs which they pay for.

Plus as someone else said - I've heard (but not certain) the chemicals will mostly be out of your system in a few weeks. So just stall the best you can :)

And you can try those fancy methods to flush your system - but I'd start with drinking lots of water and not doing any more bad stuff missy!

There is a large oak in the front of the house and it pelts the ground with twigs, leaves, and you name it - this tree sheds it - acorns, bark, and the whole doughnut. I'm in the South - Little Rock - and the soil is not the usual Illinois black dirt that I grew up with... this stuff gets as hard as dry clay tho it looks like a light brown loam to me and it certainly grows bushes and trees and WEEDS very well. The moss is green (or yellow-green according to the moisture in the ground) and I'd call it a club moss if I was forced to give it a specific name. I've tried more water... less water... light tilling and replanting with seed... chemical ferterlizers... I'm about out of ideas. Help.. help.. help. Please.

First, you can't quit watering your oak. It needs a lot of water.

The oak's shallow roots soak up water and nutrients and keep out good grass and allows nothing to grow but moss, weeds, poison ivy, etc.

I have a ton of oaks and plant flower beds around them. The drip line is beyond the beds for the most part and the dirt, manure and sand I have added create a rich, moist environment for both the oak and the plants. Try variegated ginger, ivy, monkey or mondo grass for the border, iron plants for deep shade, caladiums, ferns, asian jasmine and whatever else you like.

But, if you do not add a bed, expect hard, mossy soil underneath the oak and more weeds.

Reply:The easiest and most natural solution would be to leave the moss alone and learn to enjoy it. It's actually very soft and quite pretty. Plus, you don't have to mow it! If you really want to kill the moss, you can sprinkle lime (calcium carbonate) on it. That will do it in in a fairly short amount of time. Then, however, you'll be left with horrible bare spots that will require a lot of effort to deal with (and continue to deal with, ad infinitum). Good luck!
Reply:I grew up with this sort of problem too. Let me tell you my family secret. You might thing this is a Little crazy but i am not kidding this is guaranteed to work. It softens up the dirt and at the same time enriching the soil with minerals and also gets rid of the problem . You just have to trust me.

Ingredients:

1. 2 1/2 cup lemon juice (dog urine works just fine too)

2.cup of brown sugar

3. 1/3 cup of salt

4. cup of fertilizer

5. 5oz of fine ground up chalk

6. 1/2 cup of sweet pickling juice

7. 6 gallons of water

instructions:

Take a plastic trash can and dump ingredient 1-7 inside. Stir well until ingredients completely dissolved into water. Apply in two separate coats 30 minutes apart over moss. You will begin to see results within days. Good luck.
Reply:Actually its what you can take out that will solve your problem. Moss grows where there is an abundance of water. So wrap up you slip and slide and save it for next summer.

Make sure when it rains that you don't have pooling of water if you do, you might want to think about drainage pipes.

Reply:Everyone thinks that it stays in your system for a month, but that is if you smoke like every single day. It is stored in the fat cells, and it will store up and build up to a detectable amount when you smoke daily. Smoking a small amount one time should clear out within a week if you are drinking alot of fluids. Drink tons of water and cranberry juice, and the day you have to test, get an at home THC testing kit and take it yourself first to make sure it is clean. if not, then you should admit it up front instead of looking like a pot-head! If positive, just tell the boss what happened first...you may still have a chance, but if you dont tell, and fail the test, then you are not getting the job anyway...so if you have to, be honest and tell him that you do not use pot regularly and it was a one time thing before you even got the job offer, and tell him he can test you at random to make sure you are clean in the future. Reply:For everyone who has said anything about the money people charge for laying patios decking and fencing i think they should try the work first and then see what they would charge as its very hard work and alot harder than garden maintenance which is weeding mowing clearing. So your question should be two questions how much does a gardener charge? and how much does a hard landscaper charge as there very different jobs personally id say head down the hard landscaping route bigger scope for making money that way if your competent charge 100 a day at least and work out how many days the job would take etc

What are your expenses? Cost to drive out of the driveway; gas, insurance, tool cost, repair cost, dump fees, etc. How much time will you spend doing the books? Paying city/county business fees, advertising, cards, invoices, insurance (lots of luck there)??? Then what is your hourly wage? Agriculture workers are often started sub-minimum wage....it's legal. How long do you plan to remain in business? If you under price yourself to get started, you'd better have capital before you get started. Underfunding a business at start up is a sure fire way to go under in short order.

You will be competing with other schmoos who have dropped their costs to get started and who will soon be out of business but will be replaced by others coming on line. You will have to have excellent references!!! Make those first clients your star clients as they will be the ones who get you future jobs. Make certain you know how to do your job correctly, take courses to improve, never slap a job off. Keep yourself and your equipment in excellent order!! Nobody hires a bum with old, crappy equipment.

Remember, what you take in will not be in your pocket at the end of the day. I can't give you an exact amount, but start at: if you want $10 in your pocket, you'd better be getting $30 minimum and more likely $50

He clears the (large) lawn of leaves and, at this time of year, beech nuts, mows it and disposes of the cuttings, hoes the flower beds and generally tidies up. I think that's a fair price for what he does, as it always looks great when he's been. We are in the North of England, if that helps.

If you are trying to pass a test for a Job (drug test) be carefull because if you drink alot of water to clear it out you will get a "Negative" reading "ok to hire" but it will also come up "Dilute" and a company cannot hire you with that status.

The bulk of nicotine leaves your system in 3 - 4 days, however trace levels will show up positive on a test for up to 6 months. Best thing is Caladryl lotion directly on the poison sumac (or ivy or oak) and to take Benadryl.

Sumac is, I think, the nastiest of all three skin poisons. Red and itchy for a longer period.
Reply:I feel your pain I got it last summer and the only thing that really helped was a over the counter product by Tec Labs called Tecnu. the stuff works and it is easy to use. it pulls the oils out that cause the rash to spread and stops the itch. I used it twice a day till it cleared up and it helped a great deal. you can also use it to clean your clothes and sheets to get the oils off of them so you don't spread it more. I tell you this Tecnu was a god send. good luck.

Reply:If they have no suspicion of drug use, then they won't test for it. The normal blood tests to check your health, that check for blood counts and metabolic panels, do not include drugs.

I control mine by just keeping the lawn mowed. Our lawn hasn't had weed killer or fertilizer applied to it in over 25 years. Mowing the grass before the dandelions form seeds will get rid of 90% of them, or at least keep them in check. The bonus is that the lawn stays greener during the summer without having t resort to lots of watering.

Using household vinegar may help although research has shown that the acid concentration (5%) generally has a minimal effect on weeds.

I have a good size garden completely overgrown with dock leaves and weeds.

Hiring someone to do the work costs a fortune, so I've decided to do it myself.

I need to kill the weeds, clear space and get the soil ready to put rollout grass on top.

So far the best idea I've had is to hire a Brush cutter to cut them down, then use a flame gun to burn the remaining ones (also thought it might help the soil).

Is this the best approach or do you have any better ideas?

You've had some quotes for the work right? And they were all expensive? I'd say you are about to take on a project of mammoth proportions all on your own - look after your back!

Your first task is to cut down the vegetation as much as you can, scythe whatever is most suited to the job. Next you want to kerb regrowth - either cover the whole area with black plastic or other non-permeable sheeting. Dig out the roots of the docks. Leave this for at least 4 weeks. Return to it and remove surface remnants of vegetation. Next use a rotavator to till the ground - removing remaining roots and large stones.

Next rake the ground so that it is flat all over. Once raked, you will have to tamp down the whole area - either with your feet or a tamping tool. Now you are ready to roll out your turfs. Laying them is quite a skill, then you have to care for this area very carefully for the next year.
Reply:To get any garden looking nice when it has been left to rot is backbreaking work, but worth it in the end. Get a hedge spade [slightly narrower than normal] a rake, a hoe and edging shears.Dig up all the weeds and compost them, as with all the other rubbish. Nice to see a bit of sweat.
Reply:I used Roundup for gardens and let the garden set - then raked out the dead and tilled - let it set for a week and then ammended the soil with organic peat and manure before I planted.

You can rent a roto tiller at any rental facility.

Have you asked the farmers what they use in their crops to control dock? They would be your best source....in fact, think of how the farmers till and prepare their soil for the upcoming crop and what they use.

A local Quality Farm and Fleet would have the supplies you need as well as assistance for your specific needs in your area.

I just got the allotment in Sept and did a lot of digging and weed clearing in the autumn. I'd love to get going again, but it's been raining a lot and the ground is sodden!

Not a lot you can do at the moment. you could just continue tidying up a bit but if I were you, for the moment, I would just keep looking at with the a great sense of satisfaction knowing that you have it and look forward to better weather you can really get stuck in. I think this time of year is always a bit dull as far as gardening is concerned. All you can do is think about the space you have and plan what you are going to do with it when the weather improves.
Reply:I like sitting in a potting shed looking at the seeds that I intend to order at this time of year. Also a good time to maintain your forks, spades etc (rubbing them clean with an oily rag, so they won't rust). Cleaning pots out with hot soap and water to prevent mite and virus build up. And anyother general maintaince jobs like that.

Also, if you are on clay soil, take note of where the water is forming puddles/ponds/lakes and draw it on a detailed plan, then think about making better drainage in the Spring, so that next Winter, you can still grow overwintering veg without them rotting away.

Reply:During the winter months there is not much you can do by way of digging ot sowing outside. Allotmenters use this time to tidy their plots and sheds, and order seeds and do some planning. You may take the opportunity to look how the water collects around the beds and maybe dig some trenches to improve drainage. I suspect that you may have leaves delivered so now is the time to build up your store of leaves for rotting down to leaf-mold. It takes about 2 years so start now.

Weed is not legal in Canada. The police are not going to bust people for possession unless the person is a complete idiot but technically it is still illegal. It was never decriminalized nor will it be.

Nova Scotia is on the edge of the ocean, and straight across is Morocco, one of the only countries left in the world where weed is 100% legal. Authorities fear importation of drugs, thats why NS is worse than anywhere else in Canada, other than BC.

I have inherited an overgrown garden with my new house - what is the best time to gut it (pretty much) and put in new stuff- i also want to put in a patio area and a play area for my son. It's covered in bindweed, periwinkle, weeds and more weeds.

I would wait until late spring - say late march. if there are spring bulbs they will show up by then, and everything else will still be dormant from winter. Try to leave some of the structural details (eg trees) as they add character to a garden.

It's a powder that you can drink with water. I've heard it works but I've never tried it myself. My older brother has and he says it works. Good luck!
Reply:This may sound crazy but it works, my dad taught me %26amp; he's been usin it for yrs...sad I know...but get those vitamin packs from the liquer store (don't take the one on top that is for energy!!!) you'll need like 10-15. Masking agents don't work, and can be detected by the lab.

Ditto with flushing agents.

If it is an unsupervised test (like for employment), you need to buy a clean urine kit. It has powdered urine (add water) and a heating unit to get it to the correct temp. It's not cheap, but you can have them overnighted.

If it is a supervised test (like for probation)....all you can do is pray, lol.

If you don't use often, or much, you might be ok, regardless. If you smoke regularly....not so much.

PS. contrary to popular opinion, drinking water/cranberry juice/sweating/etc will not help. It will however, alert them to the fact that you are trying to cover something up. They don't just test for drugs, folks. They also test specific gravity and creatine among other things to catch people who are trying to mask/flush drugs out of their system.

In San Diego there r tons of smoke shops...don't know about where u are but if you can't get to a smoke shop then look it up online!

You are right about the "government", though broad term, making too big a deal about smoking weed. However, mind you it does alter your senses and smoking (anything) can affect you in the long run. Humans are not ment to inhale smoke.
Reply:Sorry to burst your little bubble but you might want to do some research into the affects of weed. Having studied health psychology (and i don't mean the type where you weren't loved enough by you mum, but actual biological findings) there is a high probability that long term use will have a negative affect on you. I am not going to lie and say that i have never tried it, i have on occations smoked weed but have not had more than a couple of drags every few months.

I refuse to have any more but not because i doubt my will power. When you use certain substances, your body can recognise it as a chemical which is produced on a regular basis, and as there is an external source it stops to produce the chemical. When this happens scarcely you would not really feel any different.. but the longer you take the substance the harder it will be for your body to start producing that particular chemical. It can in essence trigger a domino affect, because of the way a human body works.

A lot of this is related to the brain, as this plays such an important part in running the human body, from temperature control to chemical balances, motor and neuron reflexes, etc.

Its because of this any addiction is bad, and it just so happens that some subtances are a lot more addictive than others. I have tried to explain this in as short a form as i could.

I am not trying to preach to you, everyone reacts to things differently and i'm not saying that you will definitely suffer in the long run but then it is up to you to decide whether you want to take the risk or not. For me the possibility of anything happenning is a good enough deterent because i don't want to mess up my future.

I'm looking for an old fashioned hoe. Not a Dutch hoe, but the kind which has a heavy pickaxe type handle and a metal part which bends back towards you. The metal part is sometimes square and sometimes triangular. You see them a lot in continental Europe and they are great to work with, especially when clearing weeds from large areas.

I just got a community garden plot. I have until next spring to get it all cleaned up for planting. The problem is, it was abandoned all year and is completely covered in weeds. It's pretty much a big patch of tall grass. (the plot is 20'x20') What's the best way to get rid of it all, including the roots, so that it won't grow back later? I'm not allowed to use any chemicals so it needs to be an organic solution.

Any other tips on having a successful vegetable garden would be appreciated too!

cut all weeds as low as possable and rake debris up and remove from plot. till area good and rake grass and roots up and remove. repeat process until soil is clean and then till in some amendments like peat moss or chichen or turkey manure or black cow manure from the store. have a soil test done and they will tell you how much lime and fertilizer to apply and till this in good too and rake again. till and rake again in the spring.
Reply:Mow off the grass and weeds. If you are allowed, burn off the residue (helps eliminate weed seeds). If not, rake up the residue. Hoe the plot (good SHARP hoe), cutting deep enough to cut off the grass and weed crowns. Turn the plot with a shovel. You can turn it twice with a shovel and have it pretty well broken up. Remove any root clumps and plant crowns in the process. This process should not take longer than 3 or 4 hours, much less if you have help, 20 X 20 feet is not very big.

Apply lime and 3 inches of organic matter. Turn the soil twice more, and you are done for the winter.

Reply:If it were me, I'd cut down the existing vegetation and then use a scuffle hoe to clear the plot. Scuffle hoes remove just the very top layer of soil and also lift out the exisiting vegetation by the roots.. You can then rake it up and dispose of it.
Reply:I would cut it down as far as you can. Then cover it with a heavy plastic tarp and leave it there. The heat that is produced by the tarp will kill off all the weeds below. Come spring you can turrn the soil over several times, compost and plant.

they have a corn gluten weed killer that is 100% ORGANIC AND KILLS weeds and grass. it is a little expensive, but worth the cost in labor.
Reply:I'm afraid the only organic way to get rid of the grass is to get yourself a good pair of gloves and pull it up roots and all. You may need a spade or fork to dig it out. It will be easier if it's wet like right after a heavy rain.

You may want to try intensive gardening which is where you grow things in squares instead of having rows. Because you aren't using so much area as a place to walk, you have more room for plants. Also, using compact varieties of plants will allow you to grow more things than normal varieties. I grew incredible vegetables in raised beds that were equivalent to the plot you have. I had to give stuff away because we couldn't eat it all.
Reply:Not to be negative... but some misguided advice here---

When I studied in Europe, one of the most common farming and gardening tools we used- particularly in the UK, is a torch weeder.

It's also common in the USA in areas where organic growing is being conducted. But otherwise not very common...

I would reccomend cutting and removing (compost it on the property) the tall material. Use a torch weeder (or flame weeder) on the remaining vegatation.

It isn't important to burn the plants as if they were in a fire, simply slightly passing over the plants "burst their cells" internally. (yes- it "Kills " roots- but you may need to repate it again in Spring in a few areas)...

As the fall is seeding period, you may want to repeate the method in early Spring.... or use corn gluten.

Another person mentioned Corn Gluten- they are partly informed of the product, Corn Gluten does not kill plants grasses or weeds directly.... it ONLY blocks their seeds from growing (it's a preemergent weeder).

Using a tarp or plastic coverig will kill off some of the plants but it would only be 100% effective if you did this from Spring into Summer. Generally- it's too late in the season for this practice... some of the vegatation might survive a "tarp weeding." Especially some types of weeds.

I live on the hill and have a long driveway. At the top, I have a retaining wall that's about 3 and a half feet high. Past the wall, the garden is at about a 45 degree angle for about six feet (~20 feet across), then the ground levels out into my yard/grass. The garden is completely overgrown with weeds, poison ivy, etc. Normally I would just take the lawn mower to it and mow everything down, but due to the angle, I won't be able to easily get at it with a lawn mower.

I can't seem to figure out what the best way to attack it is. I don't want to just dive in and start pulling because I'll be up to my elbows in poison ivy, spiders and possible snakes.

Any ideas would be helpful.

I'd borrow a couple goats from the neighbors and let them have at it for a week or two, then do a cut and fill terrace and solarize.

No goats? Apply a good layer of poison ivy barrier cream like Ivy Block or Onguard to all exposed skin. Wearing long sleeved shirt, long pants, gloves, and with a sweat rag tied around your forehead if it's a warm day, start at the driveway with loppers and work across, bundling the materials for composting. DO NOT BURN PI!!! It can, however, be safely composted.

Then continue with cut and fill and solarization. Intermediate retaining walls may be needed.
Reply:When I feel the need to redesign, I just give everything a good spraying with some Roundup. That will kill everything. Let everything dry out and you should be able to rake it up with no problem a couple of weeks after application. There is also a product called MSMA that will take care of the greenery AND the insects. Not too sure about the snakes...does a neighbor have a cat you can borrow for a few days before getting out in your garden? That will definately help run the snakes away! I know many don't like to use chemicals in their gardens, but this is the most effective and quickest way to handle the problem other than some good old elbow grease! I have a friend who swears by burning his garden back, but he is a bit of a pyro and there are often local laws that prohibit such.Good Luck!

Reply:I have a similar problem hillside and to clear it we used a gas powered string cutter. Wear long pants tucked into your socks and good gripping boots, hubby wore long sleeves and a mask, too. We cut it down as low as we could with the trimmer and then used a weed killer on the little bits that were left. Once everything up there was dead, we used that handy dandy garden weasel to churn up the earth and planted bouganvillea, acacia, some trees and oleander up there. Now we apply pre-emergent weed and feed to keep it free of weeds about every three months. It is my intention to haul mulch up there once we recover from the clearing and planting...
Reply:Suggested first step is get rid of the poison ivy with round-up.

If workable, you might want to consider terracing the 45 degree slope.

i would spray them while they are alive w At Rosen its a brush herbicide. then in two weeks or there abouts cut it off. You have to becareful bc it has a long residual in the ground. so u may find it hard to grow stuff there for awhile. But the brush will never come back.

Poor condition lawn - I need to remove weeds and get the grass growing back?

The lawn has been poorly treated for years (just bought new house). There are a lot of weeds and moss areas in grass. I am thinking of:

1. mowing short, then laying down weed/moss killer and

2. then after a week or so using an electric raker to really clear the weeds.

3. Not sure if I need to also use a aerator and spinkle down sharp sand to also give the ground less compaction

4. I was then planning to fertilise ground and then overseed and roll in seeds

5. then of course water grass every day for several weeks to get the new grass seeds growing

Any thoughts? (I'm in UK so weather over next month is probably quite dry but grass seed can be planted anytime from May-Sept so it should be OK)

had the same problem with my lawn in my new house 2 years ago.

Step 1: Mowed Lawn

Step 2: Used Weed and Feed then Watered in

Step 3: Waited 7 days then manually raked out all weeds

Step 4: Nearly cried as lawn looked a right mess.

Step 5: Raked the soil

Step 6: Mixed bags of new topsoil with grass seed

Step 7: Spread new soil/seed across required patches of lawn (ie most of it)

Step 8: Watered Daily

Result:

95% of the lawn is now fantastic. There are one or two areas that require retreating - I am currently doing this and the rather inclement weather has not hindered the process.

Note: I noticed the seed and topsoil method at a golf course and gave it a try - works really well.

However - Do NOT re wee and feed for a minimum of 6 months after the new seed is taken.

Mow about 3 weeks after grass begins to visibly grow.
Reply:Your plan seems reasonable enough, Grass is pretty tough, so with care it should get back to looking reasonable eventually, but it will not be instantaneous, and couple take a couple of years.

I would concentrate on aeration, sharp sand and watering to get the roots stronger before tackling the surface problems.
Reply:Use feed and weed,wait till September and then put some sand down and sow some seed.this is the best time as weeds dont grow in the winter,keep watered.You will see a difference next spring.It all takes time.If you want a new lawn right away you will have to lay turf which is very expensive.

Reply:I agree with putting in some extra seeds in places where the grass is thin. Let them grow for a few weeks then get some lawn food (think we got ours in B%26amp;Q or Woolworths). The stuff works like a dream! Our lawn won't stop growing now and is thick and lush. We have to cut it once a week, and we water if the weather has been dry a few days.

Reply:Your problem with moss will continue unless you alter the soil and surrounding conditions in your yard. Here's a guideline for you to follow;

1) Spray the existing broadleaved weeds with a 2-4, D product. Make sure to irrigate the lawn prior to spraying so the weeds are more succulent and accept the weedkiller. Once you spray, do not irrigate for 48 hours.

2) The reason you may be seeing moss on your lawn is possible because the pH of your soil may be too acidic. Purchase an pH meter at your local hardware store, there are inexpensive ones (around $8 to $10 here in the U.S.). Although they're not the most accurate, they'll give you an approximate reading. IF your soil is below 6.5, you should add pelletized lime at recommended rates.

Moss also favors shaded areas and soils that do not drain well. Try trimming any trees that might provide too much shade to your lawn.

To improve the soil's ability to drain better, I'd recommend aerating your lawn (irrigate deep the day prior). After aeration, remove the plugs and discard. Broadcast compost over the entire area at a depth of 2 inches and make sure the holes are filled with compost (you can use a push-broom to do this).

The compost will help break-up tight soil and while adding organic matter. The beneficial microbes in the compost will also help the roots of your lawn gather more nutrients.

Sand is not a good choice in this instance since it doesn't hold water and will not reduce soil compaction. Instead, you may want to divert that money by adding some pelletized gypsum which will also reduce compaction.

3) Once you've leveled (by raking) the compost over the area, you're ready to broadcast your grass seeds. The organic matter will help retain moisture so the seeds will have a better chance of germinating. Make sure you water your grass seeds 3 to 4 time a day for a minimum of two weeks. Try not to water after 4 PM to avoid the incidence of any water molds (such as Pythium) from developing.

You'll probably get a few more weeds emerging after your grass seeds germinate but you should wait for a couple of months before spraying them.

I think once you do this, you'll see a dramatic improvement in the condition of your lawn. GOOD LUCK!

Reply:In USA we have a product called Ortho Weed-be- Gone if not available in UK try a similer product ,but note that when appling chemicals they don't lose there killing abilities for weeks.Follow the label warnings. Seeds will not germinate if the chemical is still active in the soil. You may want to airrate the soil with Peat moss as well along with the sand . Roto till it in ,then level then seed, fertilize and lime. Then apply a thin layer of peat moss again this will enable you to retain moisture and blanket you seed. In my experience ivy covers absolutely everything and rapidly. Eventually it will cover grass, weeds and also climb up any other shrubs or walls and take a hold.

It can be very invasive but you can cut it back regularly to stop its growth for a while. It would be better to reasonably clear the area to give it a good start and plant at intervals over the area you wish to be covered, water well and it will find it's own way. Good luck.

Reply:I usually pull it out carefully by hand or roll it around a stick. It appears after a hot sunny spell. If the water fountain is put on regularly this slows the growth down. Have you a little boat you can row around the lake and check out the weed. You'd have to lean out and pull the weed in by hand. This is of course if you had the time and was a good swimmer, incase you toppled in. I shall follow this question up with interest.

I smoked a few hits of M.J fri night. The next day I found out I have to go in for a drug test sometime next week for my new job. I am by no means a stoner, I will take a few hits every so often. I think the last time I did it before this was in march and it was only like a hit or two. Well I have been drinking water/cranberry juice like crazy, I also am on this dietary detox thing (I started it before I even applied for the job) and it is supposed to clear my system of any toxins. I also am taking goldseal and I even tried that pickle juice thing. I have a pretty fast metabolism. I think I should be clean by a week, but does anyone know how long it should take to pass through, taking all the above into consideration. I dont really want to splurge for a $40 drink unless I really need too. Im gonna take a home test in a few days to see if its out. Reply:Do not waste your money on any product that promises to "clean out" your system. There is absolutely NO WAY to fool a drug test. No supplements, vitamins, herbs, drugs of any kind, vinegar, pickle juice.......nothing. It takes at least 10 days for it to get out of your urine. If they take a hair follicle, that can test positive for 6 months.

Believe me. I have seen people try everything and it never, ever works.

It can either give you a nice energetic cerebral "high", or a full-body "couch-lock" stone; essentially either up or down. I am 113 pounds and about 5'5. I am not very athletic but i am skinny and have a great metabolism. I hear all those have great influences on getting weed out of your system. I stopped smoking a good 25 days ago. I have my urine test in a week. So that would give me a total of 32 days. trust me because I have been testing bi-weekly for over 5 years.

Through trial and of coarse, ERROR...

you have nothing to worry about, pot is known to stay in your system for years because the body stores the THC in our fat cells. However, if you have been clean for nearly 30 days and only smoked 2x per week your home free. THC is only visible in a urinalysis for 30 days from the day you last smoked. If you want to be double sure your clean for your test you can drink certo,with 2 32 oz bottles of water2 hours before the time of your test, making sure you urinate at least three times before you test and that your pee is almost clear before you make your deposit.

However keep in mind some agencies like probation and parole look for additives in the urine, or missing substances like creatine. If your pee looks too clear, they will call it a wash and will often give you a dirty result for trying to cover your test, if they suspect you are trying to give a washed test. I personally have used certo for years and have never had a problem.with it, works like a charm every time. I have gone as far as smoking the night before I had to test and passed. Good luck my man. p.s. you find it in the veggie department or on the isle which has the baking supplies on it in your local grocery store, certo is used to can jellies and jams.

I've got an allotment in North London. I did lots of digging to clear weeds and clear last year's crops in the autumn when I got the allotment.

I haven't been there much 'cos of the wet weather and I've got some seeds germinating at home, but what else could I or should I be doing?

Wow. Well, if I were you I'd get down there and make sure the weeds haven't all come back. I dug my allotment early last spring but after a couple of months it was all overgrown again, and I struggled against the weeds all summer. You need to be vigilant and not let them get re-established!

March is a good time to plant potatoes, onions and garlic, as well as peas and a lot of perennial crops if you're planning to grow them (like asparagus, rhubarb, artichokes and fruit bushes).

It's also good to get an early start with planning out where your beds will be, maybe marking out paths, that sort of thing.

I know the weather's not great, but to an extent you just have to grin and bear it! UK weather's never that great, and you don't want to ONLY tend your allotment when it's hot and sunny! I've been busy on mine since mid-Feb!

Read some blogs from people with allotments and see what they're up to now, and get a good allotment book that tells you what you can be doing month by month. Kitchen Garden magazine is great too!

Good luck with your allotment this year - there's nothing so satisfying as growing your own healthy organic food!

It all depends on the person's body fat and rate of metabolism, as well as how often the person does it. I know a friend who smokes like crazy, but is a marathon runner, and triathelete. The substance stays in him for a week, tops. It's different for different people. So just remember those factors whenever you smoke, or your friend smokes, in case of drug testing.

As for your friend, if she has been clean for about a week, then I say she's fine. You mention she's smoked in the past but not often, so that's a good sign she'll past. Drink PLENTY water, and try to sweat alot. Have her exercise to sweat out the toxins.

If she's really worried, you can always use over the counter drugs to "flush" out your system. I think they're anti-oxidant drinks, or something to that effect that flushes and cleans out your whole system, but taste nasty as ****. So it's up to you. From what I'm sensing, she's fine.

Final thoughts, how long the substance stays in you is determined by how often you do it, and how fast your metabolism in relation to your body fat is. Drink plenty water, sweat it out, keep clean, and if all else use "flush" medicines to clean out your system. Hope that helps.

Sorry my friend if they are giving you a blood or hair test. but good news if they are giving you a urine test. Head to your local head shop and ask about masking your urine and which product they carry has had the best results. Be careful about saying words like "weed" or "drug" inside. The directions must be followed exactly, and depending on what test is used by the tox lab, the detox will show up as adulterated and it will be rejected. That may buy you some more time, but it also may indicate you are trying to mask something.

What I have is a nightmare of Multiflora Rose, pretty well established in our back yard which is largely taken over by scrub trees. Clearing the land is slow going because of the weed Multiflora Rose...so other than cutting and re-cutting, will RoundUp kill this stuff off?

Should I spend the money? There's a ton of this weed, and I think it will take a lot of any spray to wipe it out.

Reply:Type in "herbicide to control multiflora rose" in a search engine and there's an article by the University of West Virginia. it gives you a number of chemicals to use based on the type of application. Foliar (spraying the leaves until they are wet) gets the most chemical to the plant and they suggest Round-Up. Check out the article.

Depending on how much backyard you have and how bad the invasion is will dictate how much herbicide you'll need. If you need a large quantity, find a chemical dealer or a farm and fleet and buy the 1/2 or a gallon size. Keep in mind that you may have to re-apply in seven to ten days depending on how well they were knocked down on first try. Remember that Round Up is a contact kill and it will most likely knock down some turf as well. Hope this helps.
Reply:is it a shrub, or a weed, Round up kills all green leafy plants, it doesnt work very good on shrubs, check with your nursery they can recommend something.
Reply:If it is a leafy plant the Round Up will kill it. If it is a vine, it is a more "woody" plant. Vines - like ivy, only die when sprayed with a bush killer. I used "Bush-be-gone" and voila, no more ivy.

Check with a nursery or google the plant and see what you get.

Flushing your system from cocaine use is the easy one. It is a water soluble drug and flushes out in aproximately 7-10 days....keep drinking fluids. Weed is harder as it is fat soluble. It usually takes up to 6 months to totally eradicate it from your system through flushing. There are flushing kits you can obtain from a phamacy look in the holistic or naturopath department. I'm asking this question on behalf of a neighbour who doesn't have access to the Internet. The garden between us is owned by a very old lady and it has fallen into serious overgrowth, parts of it are just brambles. The old lady has said that our neighbour could use the bottom part of her garden for his chickens and ducks and this piece of garden is not so overgrown, just full of weeds but very thick weeds.The top part of the garden is terribly overgrown and there is no access down her path to get a digger or rotovator. He wondered about getting a couple of goats to help clear it, but would not want to keep them indefinitely, has anyone heard of people 'hiring' out their goats to perform this useful service. We live in Gloucester, England.

At the moment you would not be allowed to move goats from one field to another. This is because of the Foot %26amp; Mouth restrictions.

Reply:In Northern California there is a company called Goats-R-Us that rents out the animals for this. They are used to create firebreaks. I know this doesn't help you in England, but at least you know it's possible! If you have a garden center or a livestock feed store nearby, ask an employee. Or put an ad out in your local newspaper. Someone will help you out! But remember your foot %26amp; mouth situation.

Just be aware that goats can't distinguish between weeds and any landscape plants you want to keep. To them it's all one giany all-you-can-eat buffet.

I'm in a rental, and I want to clear out the back yard for my dog. Controlled burns are out of the question as I live in Arizona, and they don't burn unless they have to. For anyone who lives in theSW area, it's full of goathead plants. It's nothing but weeds and a big mesquite tree, which I can't get rid of. Any ideas would be great, because I plan on doing a dog run and rocking the rest.

How do I clear my yard?
Scott's has a great turf builder that you can use to convert those weeds into strong, healthy grass. Once you mow the lawn, try and spray the yard with some chemical agents that you can find at any local hardware store. If the sq. footage is too large for you to do it by foot, I would look into a local yard chemical company (Tru Green, etc...) that can spray reagents on your yard at a higer volume. Since this is a rental property I think the rentee would be pleased to see that you improved their yard. Since you can't do anything about the tree I would just apply a repelent in the yard that would stir off the bugs. The lawn company can assist with that depending on the sq footage of the yard.
Reply:Goatheads are nasty. The best control of them is to pull them from the root when they are young before the burrs are prodouced. I have found the use of "RoundUp" the best eradicator for weeds as it is systemic. Once you have rid yourself of them, you need to make a habit of walking the yard and pulling them by the root when you see them come up. Once they have matured and the thorns are present, it is not only a bloody job without gloves but you will spend hours removing them from your shoes or boots.

RoundUp is expensive but worth the price in the longrun.

On a side note...if they yard was free of the weed problem when you moved in...it is not your landlords responsiblity to eradicate them for you. These are invasive weeds. When you signed your rental agreement I am sure that you accepted it in the condition that you received it and agreed to mainenace and upkeep. If you have a reasonalbe landlord, they may aid in the cost of the ROundup if you ask or pay for it to keep you happy but is not legally required to do so.
Reply:You may want to consider a small grassy area for your dog, preferable in a shady area.
Reply:Tell your landlord to have it done, especially if it's a fire hazard. You could always ask the fire department if it's a fire hazard and if they write it up you send the notice to the landlord who would then have to take care of the issues :-) If the backyard is your responsibility, hire a gardener to do it section by section for a set fee each week. For the first time, I own a garden!! So Im pretty much a novice. I have a flower bed, full of shrubs and weeds that needs to be emptied so i can lay a path and more grass. The earth is really, really stoney. Id prefer to do it myself, rather than get a professional in - partly because of cost but also because id rather do it myself if possible. Please can someone tell me the easiest way to clear out the flower bed, or is it a case of hard labour digging it all up? Also, when it is finally clear, can i just lay the paving slabs onto the earth, or do i need to put something down first? Any help and advice appreciated, thank you.

How can I clear a flower bed?
Go to your local library and get a few gardening books. Identify the plants already there (some of the "weeds" may be perennials). Next measure your yard and flower bed, draw a scale model on graph paper and locate all the existing shrubs and flowers on the paper.

Now decide which plants you want to keep or move, which to give away and where you will place the path and plant the new grass. Remember that grass needs full sun, the previous owners may have located the flower bed where it is because of shade from trees that made grass hard to grow.

If you want to give away or relocate any plants, you should dig them in the early fall, not now. If you are going to kill the plants you can do so now. Cut down the shrubs and paint the cut wood with Round-up, if you simply dig them and leave any roots behind they will resprout. Also kill the weeds with Round -Up, same reason.

You likely will need to add topsoil if you want to grow grass. Get a truckload delivered and spread it over the bed once the weeds and shrubs are dead and you have removed the dead shrub stumps (can do that about 2-3 weeks after applying Round Up). You can seed grass or lay sod.

Give some carefull thought to your path. Pavers in grass are difficult to mow around, it will be better to create a stone/gravel pathway with pavers laid in it or a brick path wih edging. Either way you will need to dig a 6" trench for the path, line with landscape fabric, and fill with compacted stone dust. Then place pavers or bricks and fill in the gaps with sand or pea gravel.

Reply:if the earth is stony you would be best off using a pickax, or mattock, to break it up before you pull out the weeds and amend the soil (you'll want to make the soil more habitable for your future plants, no?). shoveling anything that isn't already at least partially soft will damn near cripple you. the paving stones can go on a mixture of 2/3 decomposed granite mixed with 1/3 mortar, then fill in between with more of same, spray the stones clean, and you have a paved path/patio.
Reply:This is a job of good old fashioned digging and pulling. Get a good shovel and some garden gloves with a rubber coating on the front. I also like using vinyl exercize mat to sit on while I weed.

Reply:Hire a garden blow torch for the day, I've seen these used on gardening programmes and as your earth is stoney, it will be less back breaking. Before laying slabs put down a sheet of weed inhibitor, or thick black bin liners will do, put down a 1" layer of sharp sand, put your slabs on top.

When I cleaned mine out I used good ole muscle power. Get some garbage bags, shovel, and maybe some clippers to cut back over grown bushes......No chemicals needed. Then water the land, test its acidity and plant accordingly.
Reply:I wouldn't till weeds. It will just cut them into pieces and you'll get a new plant for every piece of cut-up weed. If you want to plant this season, muscle power is the only way. Spade everything out and have some topsoil ready to fill in where you have taken out chunks. (You can shake off and recover the soil from anything you dig out)
Reply:First, you have to kill or remove the grass. If you just rototiller it under it will grow back and then you will have to pull it out on your hands and knees. I would recommend getting some grass killer. It is safe for other plants and will save you some back breaking work. After the grass is dead pull anything it didn't kill by hand or shovel. Then I would say get the additives you local nursery recommends (depends on what you want to grow and what kind of soil you have) and then rototiller them in and get the soil ready for planting.
Reply:Rake it, mow it, remove all sod, dig up dirt underneath and mix with topsoil mixture and peat moss. Did the sod down to 3 or 4 inches or you'll have more grass than veggies.
Reply:Using a rototiller is the easiest way...these can be rented at the rental store. Personally, I like raised bed gardening! This can be made a number of ways...simply by nailing some boards together and filling with dirt. I put newspaper on the bottom before filling with dirt to cut down on weeds. Raised beds are nice because next spring all you have to do is use a pitchfork and turn it over and it's ready for planting!
Reply:Got a shovel? You are goint to have to dig up the dirt and turn it over anyways, so as you do this grab the weeds and grass roots as you go. Sounds boring and uninventive, but you have to do this anyways. you will get rid of the baulk of them and then just need to keep an eye out for the odd ones.

Dont forget about landscaping fabric. This helps to deter the weeds when done properly. Hope this helps! Good luck! It is still to wet to do anything where I am from. Darn that snow!

My 18 month old daughter has developed a rash over the last week and a half, a few days ago it cleared up for a little bit and then came back again 2 days later. I am thinking it might be a food allergy and trying to weed it out by the process of eliminating things from her diet and seeing how it goes. There is one thing I am suspicious of and it is Milo, she has been having warm milo most mornings for 2 weeks and so I have stopped giving it to her since yesterday, the rash seems a little lighter but only time will tell, I am wondering if you have an idea of what it is in Milo that could cause the reaction or do you think it is possible she is just allergic to Milo?

i was driving home last week and got pulled over.first off no i don't have a d/l not susspended i just don't have one.the cop pulled me out of the car told me i was under arrest he didn't cuff me he just had me stand in front of his car while he had his police dog go thru my car.once he saw everything was clear he let me go scott-free no ticket or anything.he told another officer he pulled me over because i was sitting to the side in my car.by the way the dumb dog was sitting on my weed and didn't smell a damn thing.but still i thought the needed probable cause

Reply:I don't know the scientific reason behind it, nor do I know whether it works for everyone... but I do know that once when I had a urine test for my job, I drank an entire bottle of vinegar (approx. 30 mins. prior to the test), along with tons of water. My pee was clear %26amp; the results were "inconclusive", but not positive! And I had smoked weed the day before.. hope it helps, good luck!

Well the thing is... i applied for a job and it requires a drug test. i smoked weed in December like 3 or 4 times. will that show up on the test now or is it cleared through my body??? if not cleared how can i clear it!?!?! and how do the drug tests work?

I have a friend who has been friends with a married man for alot longer than they've been married. The man has been maried for about 2 years.

One day while the wife was out town the friend stopped over the man house to hang out and drink and smoke weed.

Next thing that happened was the friend woke to find him shoving himself inside her after she had already made it clear that she didnt want to have sex. In fact she had a tampon inside her that his forced lodge so far up in her it was a mission just to get it out. After this friend came to and found out what he was trying to do she got upset and left.

Was this her fault?

Should she tell the wife?

It was not her fault - it was his decision to do what he did.

Your friend is only at fault for putting herself in an unsafe situation - any time a person drinks or does drugs and knows they will be unable to control a situation, they should ALWAYS have someone they trust present to *soberly* monitor the situation. In other words, she shouldn't have gotten high with someone she didn't absolutely trust with her life.

It was definitely rape, because she was under the influence and unable to give explicit permission, and she had previously indicated that such behavior was not acceptable.

The friend needs to call the police and report the rape. The man should be arrested, or he will never learn that his behavior was not just inappropriate, but illegal and harmful. Telling the wife is the least concern - yes, it would be nice to inform the wife of the details of the situation, and for the friend to assure her that she would NEVER have tried to seduce the husband or in any way harm their marriage, and that both women are victims of this man's irresponsible behavior.

For years now we have lived in the same neighbourhood as you, and I was just telling my wife, the other day, that I would wager that you aren't all that different from anyone else.

Fred: Yes, it is really, but I'm just that kind of a person. In order to prove to myself that you really are no different from anyone else in the neighbourhood, I have decided to follow you about for a few hours, just to get a feel for how you live your daily life. Now,Terrance, don't look so shocked and you don't have to thank me either. I don't mind a bit. It will do you a great deal of good for I shall be able to mention to the other neighbours just how good of a person you really are and I will be able to stem those nasty rumours going about the neighbourhood.

Terrance: What nasty rumours?

Fred: Oh, you know, the rumours that imply that because you are a BNPer you are a raving racist who shoots at the local bird-life.

Terrance: (Looks bewildered)

Fred: (Follows Terrance from the garden into the kitchen area)

So, this is a nice house that you have here. Tell me, is 'kippers' a code-word for some sort of secret political meeting that you are going to host here today? It's ok. You can tell me.

Terrance: (Places some bread in the toaster and puts the kettle on to boil)

No, actually, I just like to enjoy a nice plate of kippers on toast after I weed my garden.

Fred: Right, right, right. So, do you have secret political meetings AFTER you eat the kippers on toast?

Terrance: (Looking more and more shocked) No Fred, I usually listen to Bach and do a crossword puzzle or read the National Geographic magazine. Do you care for cross word puzzles?

Fred: Oh, well, no I don't care for crosswords puzzles actually, but I suppose that you are really going to deal firmly with that Mr. Jabi at the drycleaners! Going to give him a good telling off then? Going to take out a bit of angst out on him with a good telling off, I suppose!

Terrance: Why would I do that? Mr. Jabi has been doing my dry-cleaning for years and he happens to be a very nice fellow.

Fred: Don't you hate him?

Terrance: (Looks unhappily exasperated)

No, I do not hate Mr. Jabi. I am against mass immigration, but I do not hate Mr. Jabi. Actually, Mr. Jabi enjoys a good dish of kippers on toast and he won a chess tournament last year. He's quite good at chess or so I think.

Fred: (Winks)

So, are you planning on smacking around Mr. Jabi, just a bit? You know, are you planning on roughing him up a bit, just to give the message?

Terrance: (Looking horrified)

Good God, no! Why on earth would you think that I was planning on slapping Mr. Jabi? What message? Fred, have you gone quite mad? Why would you think that I was planning on slapping a seventy year old man who eats kippers and does my dry-cleaning?!

Fred: Are you going to slap the birds about once you lure them over to your

Terrance: (Sighs and arranges his kippers on some toast)

Fred, I am not planning on slapping Mr. Jabi, nor am I luring birds towards my garden, in order to slap them! I have never felt like slapping anyone or anything!

Fred: (With a suspicious look on his face)

Never? NEVER?

Terrance: Well, maybe just once, but it was just a fleeting urge and I did the right thing by managing to overcome the fleeting urge.

Fred: Right, I knew it! And what were you doing at the time that this fleeting urge came over you?

Terrance: During the minutes that preceded the fleeting urge to slap someone, I had just finished weeding in my garden and I was preparing to read my copy of National Geographic or do a crossword puzzle, but at the exact moment that the fleeting urge came over me, I was eating kippers and preparing to telephone Mr. Jabi!

Fred: Aha! So, you did once have the urge to slap about Mr. Jabi!

Terrance: Not at all.

Fred: Well, if you didn't ever experience the urge to slap Mr. Jabi, then of which race was the person whom you did have the urge to slap?

Terrance: I really don't know. I really couldn't say.

Fred: That's odd. Shouldn't you be aware of the racial origin of the person whom you once had the urge to slap, even though you subsequently overcame the urge?

Well, If I was a judge , first, I would investigate every little detail, so I could base my decision on truth facts. There are two sides to a story.
Reply:I can tell you from personal experience that child custody / support judges don't base their ruling on either the law or common sense. That said...

If I was the judge, I would give you sole custody with only supervised visitation by the biological father so long as he stays clean %26amp; out of trouble. However, that probably won't happen. Also, this is a fast %26amp; dirty decision on my part since I know nothing about you.

i have to take a medtox drug test this monday for a job. i have only smoked weed like 4 times 2 times at the end of april and like 2 times at the beggining of may. If i have a drug test this monday do you think i will pass, if not does anyone know anything that work to clear it. i know thc stores in your fat cells but i only weight about 130 pounds.

You are going to Fail! If you want to pass a drug test you should stop doing drugs. It is very easy to pass if there isn't any drugs in your system.
Reply:You're on the border between pass and fail; there's no way of knowing whether you will fail the test or not until you take it. There is no way to clear it from your system. And even if you're not fat, you still have more than enough fat cells to store the chemical for a few weeks.

Sorry, but you'll just have to take the consquences if you fail the test. And if you pass, don't risk it again.
Reply:Without knowing the THC content of what you smoked, along with your body chemistry and your metabolism, it's hard to know whether or not you're going to test positive.

Typically, I've been told you should be clean for at least 30 days, and 60 is probably 'safe'.

All you need is one 'event' to test positive.

Your chances of passing are, at best, remote.

I have a question about drugs?

I'm talking about illegal drugs. My hubby's friend does weed once in awhile. I have never done drugs in my life (yes, I'm a goddy goody.) My hubby won't do them either cause he knows I'd be upset. IF the police came to the house (the people who are doing the drugs house--NOT MINE. I won't allow that in my house.) And they were doing the drugs and we weren't, would we get arrested too? We have a child but I have made it clear no drugs in front of him. Could the police take him (my son) away even if he's NOT there and hubby and I are NOT doing the drugs.

Please understand I am not doing the drugs. It's my husband's friend. The drugs are being done at the friends house and my child is NOT there he's at home with Grandma.

If the police shows to your house and if the drugs are being used at present, yes whoever is in the house will go to jail and you might lose your baby.

If your not there and your boyfriend is there with the baby, he will go to jail and the police will call you to come and get your baby. Make sure no drugs are in the house, you don't want bad things in life to happen and could lose everything that you love the most.
Reply:Seeing as your child is with Grandma, They would not take the child. Yes you would be arrested if the cops came to the house. Even if it is not your house. The odds of this are very slim. IF your (bady bady) friends are just using the drugs and not selling them, Then they probably would get arrested while buying them. If they are selling drugs and had a large enough amount of drugs and money then the cops would be more likely to raid the house. So the answer to your question is you would be arrested with your friends and then most likely let go with no repremand other than the few thousand dollars (around $2000) you will have to spend for the attorney fees. And your son would spend a few days with Grandma.

Ok, have you seen the movie The Usual Suspects? If so, well my question is about Keyser Soze, like I watched the extras and everything and everyone, even the producer mention that it's not clear who Keyser Soze is, but it's most likely to be Verbal Kint, anyway my question is, which seems to be missed during the commentary and everything, why does verbal want all the other guy dead? Like I understand that there was no weed on the boat at the end but they were trying to buy what Keyser Soze looked like and that's why Kevin Spacey's character wanted to kill all those guys on the boat but I don't understand and this seems to be missed by everyone, why did Verbal murder all the other guy in the end, it seemed that he got what he wanted so I'm confused about that, plus I thought that they were somewhat friends and they did do their job, and who didn't, well they got what they diserved, so hope anyone has an oppinion one that, thanx!

In march i smoked a lot of weed. its been a month now and i havent done it since. I got sick from it though probably because i had alot and it was pure stuff. How long do you think it will take for it to clear out my system. Ive been feeling really tired lately and i have headaches and plus everything is just different since then i hate it though will this ever go away or is there anything i can do about it?

don't worry. Depending on how much you smoked, you might be experiencing withdraw from it. Weed usually takes 3 weeks to a month before its out of your system to the point where it cannot be picked up on a pee test. It stays in your hair and nails for 90 days so keep that in mind for drug tests. You should be feeling fine in a week or so though. It won't stay that way forever. But that just sounds like typical withdraw symptoms
Reply:Those are things called side effects. Drink lots of water. If its been a month since you last smoked, its probably clear now. Because it takes 30 days for the THC to clear your system. Just dont smoke anymore and you should be fine.

When I meet a guy online, I like to take a few days to email him and get to know as much as I can about him before meeting so that I can weed out the ones I don't want to meet. I have had many guys that will ask me "so do you want to meet for a drink afterwork sometime?". These are guys that I have not even really talked to yet and I have made it clear in my ad that I don't drink (and I presume they are talking about alcohol) . WHen I say I would like to get to know them a little better first , they seem to think I am stringing them along and making excuses when I am just being safe and getting to know them first.

What to do with guys like this?
There is nothing wrong with getting to know someone online first before meeting. If they are the "real" thing they will understand and wait and not pressure you to meet. And if they don't understand they are not worth your time anyway. Also if you do decide you want to meet any of them just kindly remind them you do not drink alchohol and would prefer meeting over a cup of coffee. Good luck.

You need to be honest with yourself. You keep losing jobs for a reason and you need to figure out what the reason is (and the reason is NOT that you don't smoke weed).

You can't get a decent job because people who are hiring don't want to hire someone who can't keep a job so, it sucks, but you will probably have to put up with a bad job just to prove you can be reliable.

Once you get a steady job, get your own place. You can finesse the 92 Honda but it's hard to impress a girl when you go home to mom every night. Beyond that, girlfriends are harder because nobody knows what women want. Keep trying, someday you'll find someone.

You're screwed. Try to take your test in the middle of the day, that's when urine is cleanest. Don't go drinking a ton of water, THC isn't water soluble so it won't do anything and it may dilute your urine so much that you'll have to take the test again anyway. You left it a little late to buy fake piss. I dunno man. Don't exercise at all, that'll allow more THC to escape from your fat cells, that's bad. Ummmmmmm, that's all I can think of. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Maybe bribe the tester lol??
Reply:i smoked the weekend before a drug test and passed, what I did was the night before I drank a whole liter or whatever a large amount of cranberry juice. You have to finish the whole thing no matter what. Go to the bathroom regularly as your body tells you to. In the morning of your test. Drink as much water as you can the whole morning before your test. Go to the bathroom BEFORE your test because if it's too clear, they might make you take it again. Follow these steps and you'll be hired in no time.

I am on probation for Possession of Marijuana and Paraphernalia. I get random drug tests, and was wondering if, since I got caught for weed, will they test me for opiates? And if they do, does water help clear Opiates out of my system if they do test me for them, like weed?

The drug tests can range from a simple 4 panel screen your PO will do in the office for Cannibus,Opiates, Meth,Coccaine or send your sample to a lab to test for 10 or more drugs.

Don't try it your PO will catch you they are sneaky..They will drop by your house and test you like on a Sun or Mon night and you'll test postitive from partying on the weekend..It's not worth it , they would love nothing better than to activate your sentence to get you off their case load.

Harry is not going to let a fish have a go so he beats the offending fish to death. Upon doing so he realises that his boss is not going to be best pleased, so Harry tries to think of a way to hide the dead fish. He hits on the brilliant idea of giving the fish to the lions as lions will eat anything, so Harry feeds the fish to the lions.

Harry then moves on to his second job, which is to clearout the monkey house. Harry gets stuck in and a couple of chimps start throwing **** at him. Harry is not amused and bashes the chimps with his spade, killing them instantly. Harry is shitting himself, so what does he do? he feeds the chimps to the lions, because lions eat anything.

Anyway, Harry moves on to his last job, which is to collect honey from some South American bees. Harry starts on this and gets attacked by the bees, as you can guess Harry mashes the swarm of bees. By this point he is not too worried about the death of bees as he knows what to do, you guessed it, feed them to the lions, because lions eat anything.

Later that day a new lion arrives at the zoo, it wanders up to another lion and asks 'what's the food like here?' the other lion responds, "Absolutely brilliant, today I had fish and chimps with mushy bees!"

I have 2 brothers. One is 11 years old, and the other is 18 years old (and just left to college). I'm 16 years old and the middle child. My older brother has been smoking weed since his freshman year in highschool (he doesn't do it anymore). I found out when I was a freshman through one of his friends. This sort of inspired me to try it however, all my friends are/were honors students and very against weed/marajuana/ganga...whatever, so, as a result, I steered clear of it until the end of my sophomore and the beginning of my junior year (now). In very little time, I discovered how fun it was and my friends and I would meet up in secret (we aren't sketchy) and do it. So last weekend, I came home high with about 6 of my other good friends who were all high. We had already smoked in the forest near my house but we reaked. While we were in the basement, my younger brother comes downstairs and tells me that he smells it. He knows that I do it. Now what? He's too young to understand.

I got caught. What do I do?

Reply:Your actions speak louder than your words. So him seeing you was definately negative.

But that does not mean this is a lost cause. I say you need to talk to him straight up. He will pretend he is not listening, but you are still his big brother, so he will listen. Tell him how you screwed up, and were killing your brain cells. He needs to know that you will be here for him no matter what decisions he makes, but you would prefer that he makes the right ones.

Reply:I was in that situation in a way. I was going with probably the most wonderful woman I have ever met. The only thing was we were both casual drinkers. Her drinking got out of hand and I asked her to slow down. She didn't and I told her that I would not live with someone that drinks that heavy. She opted for the booze instead of me so I left. It was the hardest thing I have ever done but I would not live like that. I don't think two consecutive days have gone by that I didn't think of her but I have a right to what I want out of life and a relationship and so do you. Best of luck.

If somone had never heard of either Cannabis or Sugar/fats/oils before in their life, and I showed them a highly accurate and detailed report of both substances how many people do you think would say bad food is way worse for you than cannabis??

I think the numbers would be overwhelmingly in favor of cannabis being better for you... Please keep in mind though the diffrence between abuse and use.

Let me clear up some Stuff as well. Sugar less addictive than weed? thats hard to belive, less than 1% of cannabis users develope a physical or mental addiction to Marijuana. While i don't have statistics for sugar i can allmost garentee more kids/adults these days are addictied to sugar far more than they are to weed.

I am a person who has done MDMA(Ecstasy) meth, weed, coke, lsd, shrooms, dmt, alcohol, tabbaco, and i can honestly say giving up bad foods was the 1 thing i cannot do. And not im not obese or eat a TON its just i need them, its serously the only thing ive een addicted too.

Although very few, as you say, 1% or so of marijuana smokers develop a serious addiction or dependence, mild dependence is common in the majority of smokers.

How does that compare to sugar? It would be interesting to see a real scientific study, but then why bother? The proof as they say, is in the pudding. Sugar and diet problems are obviously a bigger problem than pot has ever been.

But, as you can see by the responses to this question, people don't want reason. We're not living in an age of reason, as our hemp-growing forefathers did.

stay sober untill then. the day before your test drink water untill you get sick then go to bed. when you wake up pee then drink and repeat untill your test keep the water moving at all times you should just slip by it will show some use though but not enough to fail.

Harry starts his new job at the zoo and he is given three tasks, the first is to clear the exotic fish pool of weeds. Harry starts on this when suddenly a bloody great fish leaps out and bites him. Harry is not going to let a fish have a go so he beats the offending fish to death. Upon doing so he realises that his boss is not going to be best pleased, so Harry tries to think of a way to hide the dead fish. He hits on the brilliant idea of giving the fish to the lions as lions will eat anything, so Harry feeds the fish to the lions.

Harry then moves on to his second job, which is to clearout the monkey house. Harry gets stuck in and a couple of chimps start throwing sh$t at him. Harry is not amused and bashes the chimps with his spade, killing them instantly. Harry is sh$tting himself, so what does he do? he feeds the chimps to the lions, because lions eat anything.

Anyway, Harry moves on to his last job, which is to collect honey from some South American bees. Harry starts on this and gets attacked by the bees, as you can guess Harry mashes the swarm of bees. By this point he is not too worried about the death of bees as he knows what to do, you guessed it, feed them to the lions, because lions eat anything.

Later that day a new lion arrives at the zoo, it wanders up to another lion and asks 'what's the food like here?' the other lion responds, "Absolutely brilliant, today I had fish and chimps with mushy bees!"

Won't this help germinate them? Im growing banna peppers and bell peppers? Also I put them 3 inches apart in a row..then I started another row 12 inches. Good or bad idea? Cause it said 24 inches between rows ,but i dont have the room.Also I dont have any potting soil,but the dirt is black and moist...their was plenty of weeds in there before I cleared it out,so im thinking they will grow just fine.What do you think? I also have other vegtables but I thought I'd ask before I put any thing else in the ground..and we are clear of any more frost..today its 74 degrees.

I wouldn't worry about the spacing at this point...that is the least of your worries. The basic rule of thumb is to plant any seed only twice as deep as the seed is big. that would mean a pepper seed should just be dusted with the soil, and tamped firm. the second problem is the fact that most peppers are started indoor, and transplanted as seedlings after danger of frost, and when the soil has warmed, not just the air temp. I have great concerns that your seeds will just rot

Defects in early pregnancy?

My period is often late, so i didnt think anything of it untill two weeks had already gone by...durring those two weeks i ended up smoking opium , weed, and i drank a bit...Soon as I took the home test and discovered that i was indeed pregnant i gave up smoking cigarettes and i stay clear of drugs/alcohol. Should i be freaking out over my babys health??? Im afraid that i might have already caused damage... as of now i am only 2 months pregnant, so it is too early to tell.

I'd say go to the doctor as well to get the baby checked.

When i was pregnant before i new i was pregnant i smoked but like you when i found out i was pregnant i stopped. When my son was born he had breathing problems.he used t stop breathing for 20 secs at a time and then come round. The doctors said it was nothing that I did but I couldnt help but blame my self

But im not saying this to freak you out but i would go to the hospital for a scan or the doc just for a check up

Marijuana alone can cause bodily deformations and mental retardation. Alcohol can cause Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS), which likewise, leads to mental retardation among other problems. The baby may turn out just fine but it is very important to discuss this with your doctor. Self-education is also important, and I would personally do alot of research to ensure that I followed all of the necessary precautions and reaffirm what the doctor said. Reply:If you were only 2 weeks late then hopefully the drugs and drinking did not harm the fetus. It usually is worse when you are later on. as your 16 week check up they will test for stuff, you MUST tell your obgyn so he/she can run extra tests and look for stuff on the ultrasound.

I had drank and even became drunk twice before I found out. I also smoked cigarettes (when I was drinking- about 1 pack a month) until I found out I was pregnant- then quit immediately... Reply:Talk to your doctor. This is something the OB really really needs to know. There are tests they might want to run that they otherwise wouldn't without having this information. If you quit using then you have nothing to worry about as far as them taking your baby or anything. You can pass a drug test later if need be. Right now your baby's brain and organs are developing. Do the right thing and tell your doctor. It might make a difference for your baby.
Reply:It's too early to tell. Most likely things will be fine, but if there is something wrong, you won't be able to tell until the baby is born most of the time. Since it won't be a genetic thing they won't be able to test for it.

Why is public transport soooo unreliable!!!?

ok this isn’t really a question but im just so annoyed at the moment!!

ive been stood at the smelly train station for over an hour and a half!!! and not one train turned up!!

so i took down the complaints number and made a few calls when i got home!!

turns out all trains are cancelled and they have been for the past week!!!

i was so furious!! There was no notification for nothing!!

had to put up with a chav smoking weed... i must have passively smoked 3 fags!! even though there are clear signs saying DO NOT SMOKE!! it stank of pee, was cold and started to rain again!!

if its not the trains its the buses. is public transport going to improve, we're charged more than enough to use the services, its only right we get what we're paying for!!

how does the government expect us to use public transport services to prevent global warming when they're not good enough. its so frustrating, people like me that don’t own a car or other forms of vehicle rely on public transport.

Without them is like im prisoner in my own home!! Ok maybe not in my own home but my town, especially on a Saturday.

Saturday = shopping day. No trains/slow buses=no shopping = no fun= boring miserable day!!

On Monday I worked a normal day. Found out we were trapped by floods so worked till midnight.

Slept on the floor witrh a bit of foam rubber for my pillow.

woke many times in the night. Up at 5am, worked till 4pm.

Made it home by various lifts and busses going abnormal routes. Then 3 more days of guessing where the busses would be going, getting out early to take whatever bus came along. Getting home similarly.

If the cancellations were due to infrastructure maintenance or improvements, the TOC will get compensation from Network Rail (who own the track), so it won't cost the TOC a thing, even though the service is cancelled.

Reply:Basically, the bad state of stations etc are down to the travelling public. It's they who pee, it's they who put their feet on seats and make them dirty. The railway companies do not employ people to come and do it.

I'm not sticking up for these companies, by the way, I've held this view for years when the trains may have been old, antiques and in need of thorough cleaning (etc).

The railway companies seem to me to be immune to the very idea of running longer trains in order to accommodate MORE passengers who want to travel cheaply and quickly. But instead, they are seemingly there 'just to MAKE MONEY' for their shareholders, and that the public are all but an inconvenient commodity ~ and one that resents being treated like a cash-cow.

These companies have state that they will raise the cost of tickets in order to provide a better service.

Now if you owned a shop and wanted to provide a better service, would you raise your prices in order to make the customers happy? Would your customers be happy to pay this - and keep coming back?

1st I do not think that the train would have been cancelled for the past week, without there being sign's %26amp; notices arround the station. Then if the trains had been cancelled for the week like you say, then the TOC (Train Operating Company) would have to provide a bus service as they have to sign up to be providing a service when they won their contract %26amp; if they do not provide a service then they are in breach of their contract and so could loose their franchise. The TOC also have to have staff on the station to provide the information to their customers that there is no trains running and that there is a replacement bus service.

If as you say there was a person smoking on the station even though there were signs saying No Smoking, then the simple thing you should have done is gone to the ticket office and reported it to the station staff.

It can have a negative effect on the behavior of sperms, usually resulting in some sperm premature sperm loss after ejaculation due to the sperm exhausting their energy too soon and too fast.

However, studies have shown that the risk is more for men who already have borderline fertility issues.

And no, weeds effects on sperm are not permanent.

For 2 years i have had constant symptoms. It started off with some back pain followed by chills and then urinary symptoms the next day. I went to the doc and he gave me antibiotics. It cleared it up for a couple days and then it came back. I developed itching in my groin and anus after taking the antibiotics. I get pains that go into my legs and my back is incredibly tight most of the time. My bowels are off as well switching between constipation and diarhhea. Doctor wouldn't test or treat for yeast infection because i am no immunocomprimised but I have been on close to 4 different times on anti biotics along with a 5 month stint on them. I smoke a lot of weed so i think that could make me immunocomp... anyways docs just told me to live with it and it is tearing me apart. Any help would be great. If you do think it is a yeast infection how can i get trhough to my doc to test me? A girl i was with got a few yeast infections after sleepign wtih me. did i cause those?

whoa, I saw some things in a reply that just didn't need saying. Just because you have a yeast infection doesn't mean that you are nasty. It's perfectly normal to get yeast infections but it's not normal to keep one for that long. I would put money on it that the anti biotics have caused this infection and you probably need a serious treatment. If it goes on for this long then it just builds up and it's hard to kill it. Your doctor will probably try to give you 1 diflucan but you should tell him/her about the history so that they can give you 2 or 3 of them. Also you will need to use some other kind of medicine to battle this. You should start watching your bread intake and stay away from other things that have alot of yeast in them until you get this cleared up. Beer is included in the things that you shouldn't have. Go to the store and get you some acidophilus tablets and take those too, they will help to balance the normal flora inside you. By the way, don't go back to the same doctor. You should try a place that sees this sort of thing all the time, somewhere that has lots of experience like a family planning, planned parenthood or something like that. I have found in my years that private OB/GYN usually only deal with pregnant women so they don't have the experience that planned parenthood has. Good luck.

Reply:A more severe case, which sounds like what you're describing will actually travel from the groin to the anus and to the legs (basically everywhere that usually builds up moisture) and usually becomes really red and itchy. Antibiotics actually make yeast infections worse! Fungi in your body is kept in check by bacteria in your body. Taking antibiotics = less bacteria = allows fungi in your body to thrive (some people will SPECIFICALLY get yeast infections immediately after taking antibiotics). With your history of antibiotic use it wouldn't surprise me that you developed a nasty yeast infection. And yes you can spread it to other people. I would definately get a second opionion. It shocks me that your doctor wouldn't test or treat you for one (and tells you to just deal with it...thats not right..)

Reply:I don't know how yeast infection might affect a guy (they're tough for y'all to get) but those aren't symptoms women have...typically with us it's a lot of vaginal itching/discharge but not the pain you describe.

See a different doctor...after 2 yrs permanent damage could already have been done from whatever is causing it, but I wouldn't rest until SOMEONE could tell me what it was and treat it effectively.

I may have to take a piss test tody because i was reported 4 smoking so my school may call me in to test me today.i smoked like 4 hits 4/20 didnt even get high and then I smoke 4/29 and got seriously high that was the only two times in my whole life ive smoked. I drunk a gallon of water yesterday and my pee is clear so its two days after I smoked weed 4 the secound time and ive dranken a gallon of water and my pee is extremely dialuted will i pass the test.

Probably NOT!! But you did the deed, so now pay the price. You needed to use a crutch for some reason. Maybe you ought to address that or those issues rather than smoking dope.

Reply:Drinking a gallon of water wont help you clear out THC from your blood. The chemistry of THC (tetra-hydro-cannabinol) is such that detectable levels of it will be spotted even after two weeks. I sympathise, in a way. But i'm afraid you won't pass the test. But if you still want to try, i recommend blood-purifiying foods like Radish, beetroot, honey, Citrus fruits like pine-apple, pepper and ofcourse water. get enough B-complex.
Reply:It's difficult to say; It depends on the test that is used. I would say that you have less than a 50% chance of passing.
Reply:As another said once its in your body fat it is there. But if it was only a couple of times its possible that it won't show up..... the tests are not super accurate. As another said it's 50-50.

Whatever happens let this be a lesson to you. You tried it, know what it's like and leave it at that. Not to preach and no offence. There is no payoff physically or in life in getting high. Or hanging with those who do. Even if you were with someone who gets busted you could get screwed as well.

She is rude, spoiled, smokes and does weed. I don't want her in my home but i also don't like lecturing her because she's rude. My daughter doesn't want her because they had a big fight and someone called the police. I agreed to have her for one week but I don't know how I can bear it. She's so manipulative and she's stolen from my house. I don't know how to put with her because being nice doesn't seem to change her. She curses whenever she doesn't get what she wants. I made it clear that I won't have any weeds or drugs in the house and she can smoke OUTSIDE if she wants. She won't listen to me and I am not about to get physical because i never hit any of my children. Also, she's sixteen.

Two choices:

Military School

Or you become the Drill Instructor at home. It will be difficult. Get her up at 0400 for a run. Don't hit her. Sleep depravation is far worse. Make her qtip your entire house. Make it so hard, it will be a punishment to be there. So, she'll think twice about coming.

If she is underage, by all means, military schools are all over the US.

Reply:she needs someone to wake her up to reality. I assume that she is from a divorced family since you never mentioned the father. The best thing you could do is to perhaps get her busted for the drugs and put somewhere that she can get some counseling. I think that you might try calling Protective Services and talk to someone there to see if they have any ideas but she does need some intervention or she is going to possibly have a very short, tragic life.
Reply:WOW shes 16? sounds like boot camp time, my sister isn't as bad but she was pretty much the same and eventually she got arrested and put in TYC Texas youth commission for a year. talking to her and yelling at her NEVER worked all she cared about was what her friends thought. but when she came back home she changed her ways! Bricklaying for a first timer.?

i have a garden next to my carport that i have cleared of all shrubery, weeds and whatever else was in there because i want to convert it to a sitting area. its about 1.5m x 3m.

i want to lay bricks in some kind of design but do not know what to do next. obviously i've taken the first step by clearing the area but do not know where to go from there...

please give me ideas as any help would be greatly appreciated! i've been procrastinating for months now and i've finally got the motivation to get it done...by this weekend!!!

Bricklaying for a first timer.?
if you can make the area Length n width multiplres of the bricks you are to lay(saves cutting) and over that area allow about 1/2 in either way to ensure they fit neatly.

next decide where you want the fall --drainage --usually about 1/2 in over 3ft

lay down two pipes --1in dia to the grade you want and fill the area with sand .

get a board and screed the sand across the pipes.Pull out the pipes and fill the small line voids they left behind

Lay your bricks and if necessary you can hammer the bricks into place with a small block of wood on bricks and a hammer to hit the wood with.this will drop the bricks about 1/4 in .So, make sure you set pipes up 1/4 in higher if the final level is critical
Reply:first get everything level, then buy some sand. put an inch or so of sand in area where you want to do this, wet the sand lightly. place bricks flat in a pattern, save some of the dry sand. pour some of the sand in the middle of your pattern. sweep the sand over the top of the bricks, it will fill in the cracks. use your imagination........

When is the best time to clear out the dead from my flower beds? and when do I put mulch on them as to keep weeds down. I hate pulling weeds but I do it. What is the best mulch to use?

The best time to clear up your flower beds is in the fall. 2nd best is early spring when the ground has thawed. Removing dead foilage is best in the fall because disease and pests can overwinter in the garden. I use cedar mulch as it has deterrent properities. Mulch also aerates the soil. I just dig mine under the soil in the spring where it aerates. I then purchase new mulch in the spring. The link I have posted for you gives you the depth of the mulch to use in your garden. Be careful in using cocoa bean mulch around pets, as this mulch is poisonous to them,(chocolate). I don't use red cedar as it poisons the soil. I have posted a link for you to view. Hope this helps! Reply:you know, this is all pretty good advice.. the cutting of dead plants, etc.. all fine.

But the mulch.. Straw is a bad answer. Straw has the potential to carry a lot of weed seed. Obviously not a good thing. Further, black plastic will raise soil temperatures, especially in the sun. This can encourage growth too early and if late frost should come, it can be catastrophic. Further, plastic doesn't let moisture and nutrients into the soil and it doesn't add anything to the soil when it degrades.

Bark mulches are the best option. They should contain a minimal amount of wood fiber. Hardwood and Pine barks are common where I live and both are good for mulch. I use Cedar mulch (and pay a premium for it) because it's long lasting and resists decay and bugs. Above all, I like it's look.

A good mulch helps regulate soil temperature and moisture, inhibits weed growth, helps control moisture and ideally adds organic matter to the soil. A nice finished look is just an added benefit!
Reply:Make it a habit to remove all your flowers on the weekend following Halloween. Immediately add lime (granular or bone meal), and a basic 10-10-10 fertilizer to the ground. Use a Heavy Rake to migrate the mixture into the existing soil or any topsoil you may wish to add. Rake in the mulch you have had as well.

About St. Pat's Day add a another dose of 10-10-10 and the bonemeal mixture and stir as best you can. If you can, add some Spaghnum moss to mix with the above. Actually water the bed for a short time.

Purchase your prized plants and put them in place after you have properly re-tilled the soil. There is no need for any fertilizer at this point. Go to a Professional Supplier and ask for a weed prevention and elimination granular. There are a few on the market such as Preen. The Best is Dyclomec 5G. This will kill any existing and prevent any further weeds.

Apply the Dyclomec, carefully over the bed area as per directions. Then apply your mulch. It may surprise you to know that the deep colored shreded mulches are inferior to most. A light layer of cypress/redwood mulch topped by Large Nugget mulch do a better job. Reapply the Dyclomec the weekend after the 4th of July and you should have no weeds. During this application spread more 10-10-10.

There was a craze some time back for cocoa bean pods; the only drawback with them is that that they faintly smell of chocolate and it is not particularly nice if you prefer the scent of your flowers.

You can pull things out of your garden beds now. I don't know where you live but it is a little cold here in the North East because the ground is frozen and it is too cold out to work in the garden. If you leave things as they are, it will not matter.

You should start off your garden by thinking small. It is best to start a small flower bed than to plant a big one. You can always add to your flower bed later. It is a good idea to draw a diagram of your yard. This way you can roughly sketch in where you want your flower bed to see how it looks. The type of flowers you want to plant will depend on the area you have picked for your flower bed. Some flowers grow well in the shade while others grow well in the sun.

The next decision you will need to make is what shape you would like your flower bed to be. Most flower beds are rectangular in shape. It is not the most artistic form, but it is easy to mow around. If you want to be artistic, we recommend a curved flower bed. An easy way to see how your flower bed will look would be to take a garden hose and lay it out, outlining the shape of the flower bed you desire. This way you can move the hose around until you become satisfied with the shape you want.

Once you are satisfied with how the hose outlines your flower bed, you are ready to start preparation for digging. The best way to proceed is to drive a lot of small stakes along the curve of the hose, about two feet apart. This will serve as a guide for spading the flower bed. You can remove the hose after all the stakes are in place. Another tip is to tie a string from stake to stake. This keeps you within your outline while digging.

Grass and flowers do not do well together, so you need to dig up the grass. Take a spade and follow the line of your string. Place the blade of the spade in line with the string and dig straight down. To make the removal of the grass easier, cut the grass into squares about four to six inches deep. my best friend

mum has died yet he hasnt spoken

but yet he hasnt spoken about it to me his other best friend or his dad

its odd because he normally talks to me about everything

If his mom just died he is going through a difficult time right now and just doesn't know how to handle everything. You need to be his friend more then ever now and help him get through this so he doesn't ruin his life by drinking and smoking pot. You need to let him know that you are concerned and that you know he is going through a difficult time right now but you really want to help him. I smoke weed once in a while to clear my head(like some people go for walks to clear their heads)I've been smoking alot lately since I've calmed down last year.I cant figure out why.All I can figure is that it could be almost anything with all the stuff I've been dealin wit.Do you think I should calm down or just do what I'm doing till the problem goes away??? I heard somewhere if your urine is dark yellow it means you need more water. If it's light yellowish-clear then your hydrated enough. I mow lawns for about 10 people a week, but all in 2 day's. with a push mower and then trim with weed eater. I find myself after the first three lawns tired, weak, and then I get something to eat, and drink about 2 glasses of water. There's just no way I could drink 8 glasses a day within mowing lawns. I've tried, and all that water makes me feel bloated, and want to puke. What should I do then to keep me going all day long without feeling like crawling under a shady rock and going to sleep.

I've been in the business for years and can't stress the importance of hydration. I've seen people drop like flies due to heat exhaustion - even worse, heat stroke. Water load at breakfast and hydrate and snack througout the day as you need it to keep your energy.

Gatorade and all of the sport drinks are loaded with sugar and that isn't good.

Scenario: Married for 4 yrs and have one child but not his.

Come to an conclusion that he is mentally and physically dependent on weed, Its gotten more mental since he's been diagonsed with diabeties and had 2 toes amputated. Were working with the diabeties but the co - dependency has increased, Even though we decided to take a very low dosage of anti - depressant. Thats one of my concerns and then the other one being the possibiltiy that he doesnt want to have his own children even though it was very clear that thats the large reason that i got married. I feel that im being put off and for a women you only have so much time!! catch my drift. Ive always expressed my concerns in both areas but dont know if its made a dent. So thinking about leaving, hopefully to reunite seems to be the only thing i can think of to get my point across. My belief in marriage and feelings towards him are unquestionable but im feelin like im at my wits end needing input. and yes , i pray!!

Set the scene. It should be in private and in a place where he can react safely--for you both. Make sure that there is room for him to react physically without hurting anyone or breaking anything irreplacable if that's in his range of reacting to bad news.

Reply:Don't think there is a good time...depending on his temper and mood, I'd tell him at home after the little one is asleep. Don't spring it on him, especially if there is already tension in the home. Casually bring up how unhappy you are, blah, blah, blah and tell him this is an option. If he is already mad, have your bags already in the car, the baby sleep at grandma's or a close friend and tell him from the yard, hopefully he will still be standing in the door and you'll have time to run to the car and peel out. It might just take a swift kick to make him realize that he is about to lose everything, on the other hand it may not matter. But either way at least you can say that you tried to save things before you left.
