Marijuana/Pot/Weed/Cannabis: How long for it to leave the body?

I decided to make some positive changes in my life and one of them was to quit smoking marijuana. Personally, I don't think it's wrong, but it is illegal and expensive and therefore doesn't work for me. I stopped smoking three Sundays ago (3 weeks, will be 4 weeks this Sunday). Out of curiousity, if I went and tested my urine would it be clear? Thank you.

Marijuana/Pot/Weed/Cannabis: How long for it to leave the body?
Normally 30 days and it is out of your system but it all depends on your chemistry- it could last a little longer or a little less.
Reply:It takes THC 30 days to get out of your system and for you to have no trace of it in your urine.
Reply:its rumored to take up to 48 daysbut i dont buy into that i reckon u shud be clear i was off it myself 4 3 years but i fell back into the hell of the devils rose..

but u shud be clear or nearly clear
Reply:Well first congratulations!!

I myself once was in that road, before i actually found god (yay) Well if you get tested now...no you wont be clean it actually will take you about three months aka 90 days, to be totally drug-free. So drink plenty of water and exercise good-luck :)
Reply:Usually takes 25 or more days....The THC sticks to the lining of the lungs as well as other parts of the body......I quit for 30+ days and still failed a test.......I also drank 2 gallons of water each day and wanted to die......I knew I would pass, but I did not. I am sober and prefer to remain this way....Is your head not clearer...good for you for taking this step in life......ALL of our bodies are different, so good luck
Reply:From some other people of Yahoo Answers, they say up to 4-6 months. Quite a long time there.
Reply:6 - 8 weeks before It completely leaves your system.

THC, the active ingredient in Cannabis, is retained in your fat cells for up to two months.

You should do a lot of exercise in order to sweat all of the THC and burn it off your body.

Marijuana is one of the longest substances to leave the body after heavy ingestion. (1 - 2 years use). It is stored in your fatty cells.

I would say another two weeks, just to be sure : )

You should consider buying a 'cleansing kit' if your'e gonna be drug tested for work.
Reply:Congrats on making your positive life changes...I wish you all the best.

The speed at which weed leaves your body depends both on the speed of your metabolism, as well as on the half life of marijuana's THC. The half-life of marijuana's THC can vary quite a bit, depending on when it’s used, who is using it, and other factors. It’s estimated that marijuana's THC can have a half life that ranges anywhere from 1-10 days. It’s almost impossible to find out what that half life is, which means that it is very difficult to use it to calculate how long it will take for all of the marijuana's THC to leave your system.

Your metabolism and how much weed you smoked will also have an effect on the time period that it will take you before you can test without testing positive for weed use. After all, the half-life is only the length of time that it takes for you to lose half of the marijuana's THC that is in your system. If you’ve smoked a lot of weed, then it will take you longer before the marijuana's THC in your body drops back below the amount that is detectable by drug tests.

For this reason, when you ask "How long does weed stay in your system?" you have to realize that it’s very unlikely that you’ll be able to get a definite answer. The most common period of time is anywhere from 3-30 days, depending on your metabolism and the amount of weed that you’ve smoked. This means that while most drug screens can only turn up evidence of other drugs if you’ve been taking the drug within a few days of the drug test, weed could still be detected in a urine test up to a month after the last time that you smoke - and even longer in hair follicles.

That help?
Reply:a hair follicle test will show your marijuana use. Also a mouth swab, but it is doubtful it will show in a urine test.
Reply:It depends on how often you smoke it...for instance one joint on friday is gone by monday....but if your a daily user it can take up to 120 days
Reply:It would show up if they were specifically checking for weed, it would stay your system for 3-30 days. :)
Reply:it depends (mostly) on your body fat percentage (marijuana is fat soluble...which means its stored in your fat cells) in conjunction with your usage. if you smoke a lot and your really fat, expect the maximum time (roughly 30 days if your drinking plenty of water...some juices work well too like cranberry. also green tea). if your lean and its your first time smoking, expect about 3 days. i weighed 145 lbs and smoked heavily (about 5-10 sessions a day) and i got it out of my system (flushing with water, of course) in roughly 16 days.

if youve stopped smoking for 3 weeks now, unless you weigh 250lbs, you should be just fine. toodles!
