Can i be on ACCUTANE and still smoke WEED?

i am starting to go on accutane (isotretinoin) tomorrow because it is supposed to help me clear my skin, but they have to do routine blood drawing %26amp; monitoring on me monthly or so (to make sure that i am still fine and all), and i was wondering if it is still possible to smoke marijuana while on this. see i know that THC is visible in the bloodstream and this is what worries me, but my friends are saying that if the docs see thc in my blood they cant tell anyone because it is not their business or something. is this true? please only answer if you know about drug testing and stuff like that. no answers like "dont smoke weed" or anything

it could interfere with your meds, they will prob. say something if they see it in your bloodstream
Reply:Illegal activities don't apply to the doctor/patient confidentiality. Whether they'll actually spend the extra time to file reports with the law about it is another thing since they'd have to do that essentially on their personal time since I assume you wouldn't pay them for the time to file such a report. Depends on where that falls on their ethical compass.
Reply:I'm not sure if the doctor will be able to know its in ur blood stream because when they would be doing the blood test they wouldnt be looking for that but they probley would find it though and if u shouldnt be doing drugs cause of ur meds then the doctor would till u some thing like its not safe to smoke that stuff when ur on meds or this type of meds.i know when a person is on meds they cant have beers,coolers,etc so i guess the same goes with drugs.as for wither they would file a report or not i dont know but do u really think smoking that stuff is worth that rist?its like the saying goes its better to be safe then sorry but considering the fact that the doctor might file a report ,heres a saying that i made up unless its a real saying,its better not to take the risk then to take the risk ,not worth taking.I just thought about some thing some one i know took a blood test for a job and they found weed in his blood but as far as i know they didnt file a report,so they probley wont file a report about u if it shows up in the blood test. but if ur really worried about it then the best thing to do is quit smoking weed.
