I've used Ortho Ground Clear ***three times*** and 2,3-D Amine twice. The first application killed off about 90% of the vegetation in the area in question, but what survived is back with a vengeance.
I mention Utah because I've driven along I-80 from SLC to Wendover and have observed these same weeds growing in the salt flats where they haven't gotten a drop of rain in two months! These are nasty, evil weeds, not your garden variety one might find in Glencoe or Winnetka, Illinois.
I'm looking to kill the weeds off without doing any environmental damage.
How do I kill really aggressive weeds in Utah?
You need to be licensed to buy/own/use it but try "gomoxone" I mix it with a little dawn soap so it sticks to mainly the weeds and not run into the grass. On a sunny day the weeds will be dead in just under 30minutes. Very strong stuff! Also be VERY carefull handleing it. If it gets on your skin it starts to eat threw you so wear 2 pairs of latex gloves and wash up after you use it.
Reply:Rent a goat. Have them eat everything in site. Then dig up the ground, roots and all. Rake out weeds. Replant with something you really want instead. Continue to nurture it as a gardener would.
Round up works pretty good, but it's chemicals.
Reply:www.walmart.com And go to the Garden Section. They have weed killers.
