I heard that after the first few times you smoke weed your vocal chords become more clear and it adds moisture to them but the long term effects are bad, and i heard that alcohol does the opposite, making ur vocal chords dry and scratchy. I have a really big singing audition in a week and my friend suggested i smoke weed to make my voice sound more clear cause I just got over a cold and my voice is still scratchy from it. What should i do??
Does weed help your vocal chords?
that is false
Reply:do i hear peer pressure?
sounds like you are making an excuse to smoke???
pretty lame!
Reply:I have used raw ginger to soothe my sore throat, it helps to clear up any mucous, it has many medical benefits. I find it makes my voice smoother.
Reply:ha ha ha what a joke
Reply:Do not do it. Weed won't do you any good just drink some water and don't overuse your voice.
Reply:Though it won't cause extreme damage to your throat it isn't going to make you sing better. Smoking ANYTHING can make your voice harsher over time.
Reply:weed is cool ..alcohol too %26amp; u should stop singing ..
Reply:that is the most ironic thing i have ever heard. weed is never good for your health. but it sure as hell makes you feel good! :)
Reply:weed will burn the esophagus and throat even more
Reply:You are inhaling hot smoke. It will of course dry out your mouth and throat. Thus the origin of the name, "Cotton Mouth".
Just take an decongestant.
Reply:You can't seriously believe that? Of course you shouldn't smoke weed.
