What is the best way to clear mature hedges/bushes? Digging is too difficult.?

Can i just cut them down and put weed killer on the roots so they dont grow back?

i would spray them while they are alive w At Rosen its a brush herbicide. then in two weeks or there abouts cut it off. You have to becareful bc it has a long residual in the ground. so u may find it hard to grow stuff there for awhile. But the brush will never come back.
Reply:Yes, cut them down and then treat them with a root killer.
Reply:Put a tow chain around trunk hook up to come along or block and tacle and other solid object and pull out.
Reply:Caterpillar D9, heck even a D8 will get the job done. If in Japan, try a Komatsu.
