I would cover them wth a very strong (organic) liquid weedkiller. Then when everything dies back, pull anyything that remains out. Then turn the soil over and you are away.
How do I clear out a neglected polytunnel absolutely full to the top with weeds?
Empty it

condition the soil
Is it still standing after this weekends wind ? Can't be that neglected ! we lost several trees on our farm
Reply:get a couple local boys in flutter your eyelases at em give em a couple cans of beer and tell em how good they are at helping a lady in distress

Reply:Depends how big it is but I would clear another space and move the tunnel. Or move the tunnel, clear away the weeds and then put it back.

Reply:Pull all the weeds out then dig the roots out when you have finished put a weed screen down till spring then plant whatever you want to grow well worth the trouble
